Just listen to Bill Maher again when he talked about how Atheism is not a religion and suddenly want to write something. You see, "religion" used to be just a word to represent a belief into un-natural, super human being. But since the time drifted and more and more people putting their faith into many others like money, liberals or the anti religion itself, I think the word religion needs to be expanded.
Do I hate religion? Yes. And my definition for it is much much broader than just Hindu, Muslim or what ever the hell it is that people talk about including atheism. You see, to me religion is a strong believe into a philosophy that you block out everything else that go against your faith. And that's the part I hate.
Everybody knows me, knows that I love to talk shit about Christianity, but few of them know I talk shit about Buddhisms, and even atheism too. Why? Because they are all bullshit. Do practice Buddhism, yes, but I practice its philosophy, the way to live, not its ritual and superstitious part.
One time I had a walk with a great friend, and suddenly I felt so good when I could finally found someone that had given a lot of thought about religion like me. (That's a great friend u should have, right?)
So we go back to the religion that I mostly talk shit about, Christianity. Why do I hate it? Is it philosophy that bad? No. The philosophy, or may I call it the teaching, of Christianity is good, VERY GOOD. But the way that people practice it, understand it make shit out of it just defile the whole system. When they talk about Jesus healed a blind guy, they did not really mean that he had physically made the guy see again, they meant that he had helped the man to know how to live a better life just like all of us. Yes. We are all blind in our own way for all of our greed, lust, glutton... and so on. So when Jesus came and en-lighted us with the whole "love your enemies", and not an eye for an eye, we were en-lighted, we saw things better than just ourselves. HELL YEAH, that was how he opened our eyes.
However, a lot of shitty people who dress nicely to go to church and spend hours to listen to some one who does not know that much better than them have totally understand the whole concept in a very different stupidity way. They craw their asses into the church and listen to the preach with the great hope that they will go to heaven and live a happy life after death as if they are not living happy now. Then if u are good enough, why don't you kill yourself. Well, I know that they prohibit suicide, but if you are believe in your life are being judge by someone who will let you know the result at the very end, isn't it just a fucking lottery? You see, after a while, a believe system, a teaching suddenly became a religion. People do not understand the meaning behind the teaching anymore. They do not see, or read the things between the line and just take the context as it is. That's including Buddhism. Modern Buddhists, may I say, go to the temple, crawling on the floor with great ritual and superstition with the hope that their lives will be better, or at least as good as it is right now. They sit their asses in the temple and reading the koan which they have no idea wat the fuck it is talking about. They spend so much time and give so much money for the money who is not really that great of a guy, and who does know the whole philosophy that well with the wish that they have done something bad and save the karma for themselves, or for their kids.
NO. Ladies and gentlemen, I am telling u this. Buddha, Jesus, or even Mohamed are not talking about your next life, or your after life. They are talking about your present, existing, going on fucking retarded tiresome of kids and shitty spouse life. That's right, it's right now. All of their teaching is, and of course, always about this life you are living. They might had promised about the after life, but nobody can really confirm that. Or may be they were just using it as a bait to help you live better. Remember a great story of Dhamar when he went to China to preach about Buddhism. A monk came up to him and asked.
- Great Dhamar, what can you tell us about the after life.
- I do not know. The Dhamar said.
- You are wise and great. How come? The monk asked
The Dhamar answered:"Because I am still living."
Today, people love to lie to themselves that they are living this life so that they can get a better life next or after they are death, and u know what, that fucking pissed me off. Why can we just worry about the life we are living right now. Enjoy it. Love it. Live it to the fullest and leave the whole shitty non-sense after life for the after life. Suddenly remember a quote from the Hours:"To look life in the face, to really know it for what it is, and to love it, for what it is. And then to put it away."
And so when people only see the ritual, the superstition and the non-sense while forgetting about the philosophy about the teaching, it becomes a religion. Your believe is being taken from moderation into an extreme. And with that, your ego which need to be tamed and shrink-ed by the teaching, suddenly exploded. We go against whoever not believe the same bull shit as us. And then come the jealousy, the hating our enemies, the SINS. And we suddenly throw all the teaching behind and suddenly forget about everything. We return to where we started.
And atheism is not an exception. It raised from the anger of people with all the non-sense of other religion and suddenly the believe, the teaching about do not believe in the after life, or the ritual became the non-believe in whatever the others said and talked about. They create around themselves a bubble that everything in this world can be explained scientifically, just we the human are not there yet. NO. FUCK NO. There are certain things in life, just cant be explained no matter how high tech you are just like the sense of music, the coincidence, and the chances that someone had in life. I am no superstitious, but I believe there is a force out there "un-natural" and way more super than us influence our lives. There are events that just happen and you just can tell me clearly what it is. Well. Does it really matter that we have to be able to explain it completely? Not really. Shit happened? It happened. Some things you can explain, some u just cant. So why the bother? Can we just all ignore it and go on with our lives? Why should we try to convince ourselves that whether it is God, or it can be studied and explained?
My friends, this world is created by the oppositions electrons and protons, the ying and the yang, good and bad, so as long as you create something up, there will be an opposite. Just like the Tao said, there was beauty because there was ugliness. So if we do not consider one, the opposite will disappear. SEE? We should all just see things the way it is, and work with it whether it is religion or atheism.
Trust me, if everybody in this fucking world can really understand and follow the meaning of the teaching more than just the method and figure out their own ways by the own mind their own methods, the whole world will be at peace. Just like the Buddah said after he asked all his monks when he was dying if they have any questions and doubts about his teaching:"All the component things in the world are changeable. They are not lasting. Work hard to gain your own salvation." Yeah, u r fucking right. The Englighted one actually telling his disciples that his teaching may not be always correct, and they just had to work on THEIR OWN for a way to live a present existing happy life.
