Dear friends,
If you are sad or depressed, do not read further because this blog is composed in my anger. Once again, please do not read if you are in the mood of "one more push I would kill myself".
We are all borned in certain conditions such as country, time, family... Therefore we are all different from each other. Each man has his own fingerprint, each woman has her own CNV. It clearly shows us that we are, always, in this world not capable of doing certain things. May be you can not lift up a tree, or work out a math problem, or memorize a biology chapter... To me it's ok. Nobody can do everything on earth, even Da Vinci. When you can not do something, you are sad, depressed. That is when the "you can do it" comes in.
Yes, just like God says, knock and the doors will open. However I guess he said that because he had never done that. In fact we all know that there is a time that wherever you knock, the f&%*king door would not open. You scream, yell, or even use a bulldoser try to knock out the door, but it will not open. My friend, when it happens, please look at God and say: "You lie". That's when you know you can't do it.
What is my point here? My point is that there is completely no problem for you not being able to do certain things, yet ok for you to ignore that you can not do it. In this life, sometimes you have to know what exactly your limits are. Ignoring your limits is the worst thing ever in life. It just likes you are walking on the string without knowing how to keep balance. Most of the time, lying to people is bad, but seriosly it is always not good when you lie to yourself.
You can not try to get over your limits if you do not know what they are. Understanding what you limits are, working on that and may be, I say may be, you can get over it. That's how Newton did it, and Craig Venter is doing it. Ignoring you limits and try to keep working on it is different. It's just like Don Quixote fight against the windmill. No matter how hard you try to hit the windmill, it's not the monster, you can not kill it. Moreover, sometimes, the limits are so hard to overcome, you just have to give it up. My friends there is nothing worse than you are trying to work on math without knowing any aspect of math after 10 years. You waste your time, and others too. What's the purpose of keep doing math without knowing what you are working on. And why are you doing that? Is that because you think when you learn math people think you are smart? Or is that because when you are trying to apply to Med School that people assume you are awesome? My friends, trust me, they do not give a crap about wtf are you doing. Today in this world, people look at your car more than you degree. So, try your bests to have enough money to buy a Ferrari, and people will respect you, I wont seriously.
Your life is a broad life, there is not such narrow path that you have to go. If the path that you chose was so hard to walk, choose another one. There is nothing wrong with it. All the path will take you to Rome, just walk the one that you can. That means when your path is so hard, you might want to consider about giving up. That's ok, it's part of life

Watchmen - What do you watch?
There are few movies that can force me to find their original sources to read, Watchmen is one of them. The movie is not such a super great movie like The Lord of The Rings but it can be equally compared to the Dark Knight. Both movies, the Dark Knight and Watchmen, are fell into the catergory of action movies; but the great thing is they both have the sub contents. If you are someone who loves martial art novels, you would know the name of Louis Cha or Jin Yong. His novels were not only about fighting, but also there are tons of sub contents which have cost a lot of paper and ink or critics for over 20 years. The Dark Knight and Watchmen can be considered as one of those.
Critics and viewers can be seperated into 2 main catergories which are they either like it so much or hate it. I am the one is on the 1st catergory. Eventhough there are a lot of complains about the movies such as its length, or it was so closed to the comics, Watchmen is still a great movie. Unfortunately we can not talk all day about the movie, I will only emphasize about 3 great things about the movie which most people should consider when they watch a movie.
I - The Contents
A lot of critics complained about the content of the movie which is so closed, 90%, to the comic. Come on guys, like Mozart said in Amadeus, you can not change which is perfect. The comic was a great book with a perfect content, how could you change that. Just try to take one part out of the story, the whole piece will collapse just like u push one small domino piece. But you might ask me, what is so great about the content? Killing people?
The great thing about the story line is that it's all about what is good. In this world, good and bad can not be completely seperated. We all live in the grey zone of that. Therefore there are certain things that people consider as good while other consider as bad. We can see that clearly in the content, or may I say the sub content of the movie.
It started with the death of a Comedian who appeared later on as a jerk. He raped his partner, showed no mercy to his pregnant girl friend, and attacked to his own people. Everybody hates him, but he works for the goverment. Is that weird when in a society which considers human right is the best and criticizes other countries for their lack of human rights, holds in its hand a human right repressors tools? It raises another question that how much freedom we should have, and how we can define our freedom? I love the way that both the movie and the comic describe the American society. Under the greatness of a nation lies a lot of lies. But is it bad? I would say no, because simply sometimes lies are better. It shows clearly at the very end of the movie when Roschach was trying to lets the world know the truth, and Ozymadias let's Dr Mahattan finish Roschach off. The world in the movie is a better place with that lie, so people should never reveal it. That is a great point.
The two hours movie with a lot of investigations came to an end with the great plot that Ozymadias was behind. His plot can be looked under many scopes. Many would say that the killing of millions people will lets the world afraid and stop killing each other. Others might say that it's better to let millions die for the better tomorrow of billions. I, in my opinion, think that Alan Moore wanted to show the power of fear. Like in his previous V for Vendetta, Alan showed that fear made people united and give their fates to the hands of a great one. Fear in Watchmen made everybody united and live happy together. Only when there are a greater threat to the human life, they turn to look at each other and ask for help. This is not a new concept, but Alan showed it in another way. Moreover, Zack Snyder had brought the story up to another level which I considered as an improve to the orginal, since he lets Ozymidias created a bomb mimiced the power of Dr Mahattan instead of a giant squid. It is great because we can see at the very beginning that the reason for the Russia to develope rapidly nuclear power because they were afraid of Dr Mahattan, and it was also the reason that America did not back down in the cold war because they knew Dr Mahattan was on their side. So since suddenly Dr Mahattan was not on any sides and attacks America, it made the America to look for a new allaiance, and it also reminded the Russia that they had a greater enemy . Only on the face of amagedon people know how to united, or like Gabriel in Constantine says, only at the face of amagedon we show our truth noble self.
II - Cinetography and music.
Those are the two most important things in a movie. Watchmen mostly follow the scenes from comic with a great improvement from the visual effects and music which was the only thing that lacks in the comic. There are so many great scenes in the movie, especially the first 5 minutes of the beggining of the movie. It shows a great scene of two Russian soldiers smoking and slowly moved down to show tons of missles. There is a scene when the little put a flowers in front of the gun, and then the gun fired.
In order to replace the texts in from the comic for each scene, such as the funeral scene or the sex scene in the space ship, Zack Snyder found a very good solution by using music. The music from the movie was mostly come from 80s songs with great insert. Zack did not care about the length of the movie when he inserted those songs into the movie because simply they are necessary. Each songs perfectly fits into the scene and showed like a great video clips. This movie, somehow, can be considered as a musical movie since there are about 20% of the time was music video.
III - Scripts
The scripts should be awarded to Alan Moore since about 90% of the lines were from the comic. The movie and comic were full of rich great lines. I did not remember how many times I had to watch the pirate version of the movie just to hear the line again.
The scripts describe the feeling inside the man, the darkness in the everybody hearts, and even the story. These great lines are the one that made Watchmen and the Dark Knight stands out of the normal action movies. It's not hard to make an action scene of a great explosion, but it's so hard to insert great lines before the scene and make the action much more better.
The scripts from Wathmen were slow, long and monotone but rich of contents. They made the viewers or even readers think so much about that. It could be the awesome scripts that made me loved Watchmen so much since I am such a man who loves to listen to the scripts in a movie, that's why i usually now watch movie in a language that I can barely understand (this will be for another blog).

Addiction
Dear People,
I just finished reading a journal on google about addiction. Yes. This time they compare World of Warcraft with cocaine. Then a thought occur to me, why we like to criticize addiction? And then an answer just come to me; oh we criticize it because we need it.
We all live in this world with the need inside each of us. We all want something, in another word, we are all addicted to something. Why? How? I dont know. But that how we are. If I have to list one of the characteristics that we, homosapien, have but not other animals, addiction will be one of them. And yet we criticize it. In this blog I will show that addiction is need for our lives, then go on and try to answer the question why we always criticize it. At the end I will open a hypothesis that we all criticize wat we need, wat we want.
I - To be or not to be
Addiction, what is it? According to Dr Micheal Leon, chairman of UCI biology deparment, addction is the feeling of craving a certain type of drug after we repeatly used it. To further extend, addction is the craving for a certain type of action after we repeatly do it. It happens every where in every day in our lives. Sometimes we tend to use the word that we invted for certain condition regardless the application of that word for almost others.
Let's talk about death. Most of us assume that death is when the metabolism of certain living thing stop. That is not wrong, but it's not quite complete. We can expand the meaning of death into further more places such as in life. Someone is dead does not necessarily that one stops breathing. Some people live a death life without recognizing it. We wake up, go to work, back to lunch, go to work, back home, watch TV, and sleep. The routine repeats everyday. You live a life with no ambition, no passion. That's another extension of death.
So addiction is not quite a word just can be used for drugs. If you glance over everybody in a day, you will see addiction everywhere. Let's talk about coffee. How many times did you hear someone say, oh I can not fuction well without coffee. Now I know that you are saying, inside your head, coffee has cafeine, it's addicted. Yes, but how about food. Do you remember the last time that you have to go to certain restaurants, or cook certain disks that you really want to eat. My friend, to me, that's addiction. It may be a mild form, but still addiction. There are many other things can give you addiction such as games, shopping, works. People who has a high level of addiction to those thing get the same weird looking. They are all quite anti social, weird, and lack skill of communitcation.
So addiction is bad? No. It's not bad. It is what we can differentiate ourselves to other animals. Other mammals, insects, fishes do not have addiction. At least they do not seek for addiction. What do I mean by seeking for addiction? We all want to feel good. Whatever can makes us feel good, we want to do it again with more extreme. That's why when we are addicted to something, we just might not be able to stop because we always want more. Due to that reason, addiction is one of the thing that make us human.
Imagine a world with no addiction to sex. What will happen to the human world without addiction to sex? We will follow the natural selection rules and have sex once a year. That's boring. I know you would say that. In fact it is. Even in certain polygamy animals they do not have sex quite often as human does. Addiction to sex give people the craving for more and better sex. It borns affair. With the affair thing, we have more recombination of DNA, and therefore we can have better traits.
Imagine a world withouht workoholic. People will just do whatever they have to to get pay. There is not competition in work, therefore, we stay where we are. If we do not have some people who spend 12 hours in their labs, or working their asses off in the office, we would not have today. We would not know about DNA, proteins, spaceship, nuclear reaction. If we lack of people who sit infront of the computer almost 24 hours, we would not have the internet, the LAN. Addiction makes us great and create the whole new side of animal. Of course an animal will need more than that to be, or better than, human, but if they are human, they would have addiction.
II - Lost in translation
We always complain. That's part of our nature. Human never really satisfy with watever we have in life. Sorry folks, if we do Buddha will not exist. I am not saying that it's bad, but just want to state that it is. Complaining somehow becomes our autonomic response to anything in life. Our self-confidence always lead us to criticism.
There is nothing in this world can be better than us. We say that to ourselves almost every day. It becomes so common that we use it as a stair rod to clime up the stair of life. That's why someotime we tend to criticize something that we did not think it throuh. And addiction is part of it.
Our single, narrow view gives us the bad sad face of addiction. It's bad. It destroys a life. It takes away life. Yes my friends. People who use too much cocaine and get overdose are bad, or maybe. But that's only the reason for that. Some people really need that kind of addiction to get their jobs done because simply they are not a *%&6king god. We criticize it simply because we only a side of the problem. We criticize it because we only thing about the bad side of the problem. We criticize them because can not be that person.
III - Hannibal the Cannibal
Yes, we always complain. About our cars, our dresses, or even ourselves. It becomes part of our lives. We can not live without it. And so all the things we complain are all wat we need. May be it's an extreme, but we might still need it. Lets take homosexuality as an example. A lot of stupid, hard headed, devoured Christianity people out there are complaining about how bad homosexuality is. But they do not know they are living and helped with a lot of many homosexuality. You can call it an bias, but bacteria are homosexual. And so they help us everyday in our normal day life. May be bacteria is not quite a convincing evidience because you may tell me that they are asexual, but it happens in the normal world too. If you can live in the country that dogs can run around like Vietnam, you can see that all quite often. So are they bad dogs? No. And do not forget that in history there are many great homosexual people who are way greater than orthers. Moreover, if u criticize homosexual, can you please tell me what will you think about 30 years old man who never have any women in his life, walk around and live with 12 other guys. My friend to me that's gay.
So is that we criticize everything that we need or we need to criticize everything? I lay the answer to you my friends.
